This woman owned business was founded back in 2016 to provide clothing that empowered women through the fit and comfort. Without being too tight or uncomfortable to many body shapes, Sotela creates sustainable, timeless pieces that can be versatile and staple items for all occasions. The founder of the company, Hanna, believes "women should reach into their closets and have multiple pieces that will always fit, and better yet, make you feel beautiful." Therefore, with this healthy, empowered mindset, Sotela is creating items that help us have a more positive viewpoint towards ourselves and our wardrobes.

But it's not only about style or fit - Sotela is attentive to how each item is produced through the materials, production and care of the garments. Each item is intentionally created with an eco-friendly and sustainable approach to ensure detail and quality. Sotela's items, and specifically their button down dress, use a fabric called Tencel - which is made from natural wood fibers requiring less water during production and allowing a more natural break down of fibers in the long run. HOW TO WEAR THE DRESS

I was able to try out Sotela's Remy Dress - a classic silhouette with a "collared neckline, wrist-length sleeves, pockets, and belt". It can be worn in many different ways - as a traditional dress with our without the belt, worn open as a jacket or even tied at the waist for a shirt style. Traditional Dress

The go to dress that's simple and easy to dress up or dress down. Add some shoes, jackets and accessories and you're good to go! With the Remy Dress, there is a removable waist band that can be worn on or off depending on your desired look. And with the black coloring, mid-thigh length and 3/4 quarter length sleeves, it's a great option to throw on for office and casual day wear all year round.

Button-down Tunic

Another easy go-to style for a comfortable and creative look is to wear the button-down as a tunic pairing it with denim or pants. This can also be worn tied with the waist band or left alone for a boxier silhouette. Pair with a top underneath for cooler weather or alone during the warmer seasons for another year round functional item!

Jacket Style

My favorite look for adaptable style in any season - wearing the Remy dress as a lightweight jacket is fun and easy for work or play. With the flattering sleeve length, the silhouette of the thin jacket can be layered over tanks, long sleeves and even your other dresses. It's truly an effortless and put-together look for anyone!

TIED AS SHIRT
