Check out the
key values here —
The Good Wear has always been focused on awareness, conversation and practical steps to be better consumers of the things we wear. Sustainability and ethics can branch off in a million directions… which is a good thing for the vast passions we all have. But here on the site, you'll find a focus on the values around human labor, consumption, community involvement and healthy habits towards our wardrobe. We’re on a mission to bridge gaps for sustainable style!
HUMAN LABOR
The biggest value on The Good Wear is a focus on the humans behind the clothing we wear and standing up for the rights of other’s within this industry specifically. We must value human life and that includes fair wages, safe working conditions, transparency and ethical measures of livelihood for the family unit - no matter where labor is and products are produced.
CONSUMPTION
One of the largest problems we have in fashion and our consumer world is over-consumption. We are constantly buying new when we already have much of what we need. What if we looked at things differently and reframed how, when and why we purchased?
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
We are all influencers to our immediate circles of friends and family because there is trust and respect. So we start here with our community involvement… with a focus on caring for our neighbors, our people and our cities or towns. We can be influential by bridging conversation, shopping local, continued learning and advocating for change in our communities.
